In Vitebsk, a traffic violator bit a traffic police officer during his arrest

June 17, Vitebsk. A violator of traffic rules in Vitebsk bit a traffic police officer during his arrest. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

The incident occurred on June 12 at about 10 p.m. on Moskovsky Prospekt. The crew of the traffic police noticed that the man was crossing the roadway at a prohibitory traffic light. The violator, who was in a state of intoxication , in response to the remark made to him, behaved aggressively. He refused to proceed to the official car, and during the arrest he tried to hit a police officer and bit him on the forearm. As it turned out, the man had already been prosecuted for hooliganism and intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm.

Another resident of the regional center was taken to the Oktyabrsky District Department of Internal Affairs for being in a public place in a state of intoxication. During the proceedings, he decided to use force against an officer of the operational duty service, he was immediately neutralized.

Criminal cases were initiated against both citizens for the use of violence and resistance to employees of the internal affairs bodies in the performance of their duties to protect public order. The men are taken into custody.
