A protest rally against the measures of sanitary and epidemiological safety introduced by the Czech authorities due to the accelerating spread of CORONAVIRUS infection in the republic was held on Sunday at the Letensky field near the historical center of Prague. it is reported by TASS.
About 3,000 activists took part in the protest, according to the police. They did not maintain social distance and refused to wear medical masks. In addition, despite the ban on drinking alcoholic beverages in open public spaces in the country against the backdrop of the state of emergency, the organizers of the rally staged a beer sale. They will be brought to administrative responsibility on the basis of protocols drawn up by the police.
At the rally, there were demands for the immediate lifting of social restrictions and insults against the authorities. Speakers questioned the effectiveness of vaccines against covid. One of the participants was detained for attempting to disrupt a nearby coronavirus vaccination center.
In the Czech Republic from November 26, a state of emergency was introduced for 30 days due to the coronavirus. Public events such as gatherings and club meetings can have a maximum of 100 participants. No more than 1,000 people can attend cultural and sporting events. In the country from 22:00 to 05:00 the work of cafes, restaurants, bars, casinos and other entertainment and catering establishments is prohibited, as well as Christmas markets are canceled.
