August 3,
MINSK . The
Ministry of Emergency Situations issued a reminder about the rules of behavior in hot weather, the Ministry's press service told BELTA.
"From 12:00 to 16:00, try to avoid direct sunlight. A hat, umbrella, light clothing made of natural fabrics, and sunscreen are your best companions. Drink plenty of water, green tea, etc.
" ALCOHOL is taboo in hot weather," the department explained.
In hot weather, travel time by car should be reduced. If driving is necessary, be extremely careful behind the wheel and never leave children alone in the car.
Swimming should only be done in designated areas staffed by lifeguards. Avoid unfamiliar and restricted beaches to avoid putting yourself in danger.
"Child safety comes first: when relaxing near the water, never let your children out of your sight. Life-saving equipment is a good thing, but parental attention is invaluable," the Ministry of Emergency Situations added. "Swim wisely: buoys are not just decorations; they are safety boundaries. Don't risk swimming beyond them; unexpected dangers may lurk there."
Campfires and barbecues should be allowed only in designated areas. "Make sure
the fire is under control," the Ministry of Emergency Situations noted. "Before going into the forest, check the current restrictions on visiting using the Ministry of Emergency Situations' interactive map."
