
May 24, MINSK. In Kobrin, traffic police saved a man from suicide. BelTA was informed about this by the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Brest Regional Executive Committee.
"Last night, the local police department received a message that a man was standing behind the fence of the bridge and was going to jump into the river. The traffic police quickly left for the place, by the time they arrived, the unknown person was already hanging from the bridge, holding on to the fence," the police department said.The inspectors grabbed the man by his clothes and dragged him to the side of the road. He was in a state of alcoholic intoxication (1.6 ppm). The man admitted that he committed suicide to prove to his mother that he was capable of doing it.
Employees handed over the 41-year-old man to the doctors. Coming to his senses, he thanked the policemen for saving his life.
