In the Grodno region, a drunk driver of a car tried to escape from the traffic police

April 16, Grodno. A drunk driver of a car was detained in the Grodno region. BELTA was informed about this by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee.

The incident occurred on the morning of April 15. Not far from the village of Shchechinov, the driver of a Mazda car, seeing traffic police officers, turned sharply and began to drive away in the opposite direction. The inspectors did not ignore this fact and decided to check the physical condition of the driver. The car was stopped, the 42-year-old driver tried to escape, but was detained.

A medical examination showed that the man had more than five times the permissible level of Alcohol in his body. The driver explained that he drank a bottle of vodka and went to work in the morning.

He was removed from driving and the vehicle was taken to the impound lot. The man faces a fine of 200 basic units and deprivation of the right to drive for a period of five years.
