It was noted that a 27-year-old patient, in a state of severeintoxicated , lost control of himself and barricaded himself in. It is currently unknown how he managed to getAlcohol was being consumed in a strictly secured area.

Other patients subsequently joined the rioter, who began building barricades and setting fires. Furniture was likely burned. Police did not rule out the possibility that the rioters may have taken patients or clinic staff hostage.

Special police units from across the region, including those specializing in hostage situations, immediately responded to the scene.

The large-scale law enforcement operation concluded after the rioting patients surrendered to police. Special forces officers then searched the building. It is currently unclear whether there were any injuries as a result of the incident.
