December 10, Minsk . Belarus has postponed the ban on the sale of beer and low-alcohol beverages with an ethanol content of no more than 7% by volume in polymer consumer packaging with a nominal volume exceeding 1.5 liters. This is stipulated by Council of Ministers Resolution No. 924 of December 6, 2024 , which was officially published on [BelTA].

Previously, this ban was planned to be introduced in 2025, but according to the new document, it will take effect in 2026. Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs who have not sold beer and low-alcohol beverages with an ethanol content of no more than 7% by volume in polymer consumer packaging with a nominal volume exceeding 1.5 liters

by January 1, 2026 , have the right to sell these beverages until their expiration date. Currently, the ban on the sale of beer and low-alcohol beverages in plastic containers with a capacity exceeding 2 liters is in effect.
