
January 13, MINSK. The rise in prices in Argentina at the end of last year amounted to 50.9%. Such data are provided by TASS with reference to the institute of statistics and census of the republic.
"The overall level of the consumer price index in December 2021 increased by 3.8%, for 12 months of 2021 inflation was 50.9%," the report says. Over the last month of the year, prices in restaurants and hotels increased the most - by 5.9%. They are followed by alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+5.4%).
When forming the budget in 2020, the Argentine government planned that the price increase would be 29%.
Argentina has been among the countries with the highest inflation for several years now. At the end of 2020, this figure was 36.1%, for 2019 - 53.8%, for 2018 - 47.6%.
