December 10, MINSK. The Grodno inter-district department of the Investigative Committee has completed the investigation of a criminal case on hooligan actions. Inna Poznyak, official representative of USC for the Grodno region, informed BelTA about this.
"The events took place in the regional center. Thus, according to the materials of the criminal case, on the afternoon of October 31 of this year, a company of young people, having received a refusal from a taxi driver for transportation, began to express their dissatisfaction with him. A conflict ensued between them, during which, one of the potential passengers from the case, which was on his shoulder, took out an airsoft gun, which he directed towards the taxi driver," the USC said.
The victim explained that the machine gun that the guy was holding looked like a real one, and therefore he perceived his threat as real. At the same time, the latter behaved aggressively and defiantly, committed active actions aimed at intimidating and intimidating the victim, expressed threats of bodily harm against him.
The taxi driver feared not only for his life and HEALTH, he believed that the young man could inflict bodily harm on someone else (at that moment there were also minors on the street). The man immediately told his colleagues about the incident, then reported to the police. After that, a 22-year-old resident of Grodno was detained by police officers.
The investigator, with the involvement of a specialist from the UGKSE for the Grodno region, conducted an inspection of the scene. it was established that at the time of the commission of unlawful acts, the young man was in a state of intoxication .
In the course of the preliminary investigation, a number of expert studies were carried out. The results of the examinations were studied and attached to the materials of the criminal case. According to the conclusion of the forensic ballistic examination, the assault rifle confiscated from the defendant is an electromechanical product for playing airsoft, outwardly similar to the AK-74 assault rifle, while at the time of the examination it was in a faulty condition.
According to the conclusion of a psychiatric examination, it was established that a 22-year-old resident of the regional center at the time of the crime was able to fully understand the significance of his actions and control them, he was not in a state of passion.
As a result of the investigation, the man was charged under Part 1 of Article 339 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. A measure of restraint in the form of detention was applied to him.
The investigation of the criminal case has been completed, the case has been transferred to the prosecutor for referral to the COURT.
