Metropolitan traffic inspectors continue to arrest drunk drivers

March 30, MINSK. The capital's state traffic inspectors continue to detain drunk drivers, BelTA learned from the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

Employees of the traffic police department of the Partizansky District Department of Internal Affairs of the capital in the early morning of March 29, while on duty, received information that near the house No. 26 on Plekhanov Street, a drunk man driving an Opel car was trying to leave the yard. The traffic police detained the drunk driver. In the body of a 40-year-old violator, 3 ppm of ALCOHOL was found.

On the same day, a 52-year-old motorist driving a Nissan car ran over a road sign at the exit to Dzerzhinsky Avenue. The cause of the accident was the drunken state of the driver.

Goretsky street, the crew of the road patrol service of the traffic police department of the Zavodskoy District Department of Internal Affairs of the capital drew attention to the Ford, which was driving, dodging from side to side. The police recall that drunk driving is punishable by a fine of up to 200 basic units and deprivation of the right to drive up to five years. For repeated driving by persons who do not have the right to drive, criminal liability is also provided for with a maximum penalty of restriction of liberty for up to two years.
