November 13, Minsk . Traffic police officers detained a drunk driver in Minsk. This was reported to BelTA by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

The previous night, traffic police officers from the Zavodskoy District Police Department of Minsk stopped a Ford driven by a 37-year-old man on Baikalskaya Street. The driver's physical condition aroused the officers' suspicions.

A medical examination revealed a blood alcohol level of 0.7 ppm. Administrative charges were filed against the Minsk resident, and his vehicle was placed in a secure parking lot.

A notification letter will be sent to the violator’s place of work.

The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate reminded drivers that driving under the influence of alcohol endangers not only themselves but also others. Citizens were also asked to promptly report to the 102 hotline any drivers or pedestrians whose behavior poses a danger to themselves or others.
