August 16, MINSK. The prosecutor's office of the Minsk region sent to COURT a criminal case against a 32-year-old resident of Kletsk, who, while intoxicated , violated traffic rules, resulting in the death of a teenage passenger. BelTA was informed about this in the prosecutor's office of the Minsk region.

The criminal case was sent to the Stolbtsovsky District Court. The man is accused of violating traffic rules while intoxicated, which negligently caused the death of a person, as well as driving a vehicle by a person who does not have the right to drive.

Having studied the materials of the case, the prosecutor's office of the Minsk region decided that the charges were justified, and the investigation of the circumstances of the crime was objective. "There are no grounds for changing the previously chosen preventive measure in the form of a personal guarantee," the supervisory agency noted.

The accident occurred on March 20, 2022 near the agricultural town of Vishnevets, Stolbtsy district. The man was driving a Volvo S80 at a speed of at least 70 km/h. At that moment, the driver was drunk, and his 16-year-old niece was in the cabin. The car drove up to a roundabout at high speed, the driver lost control of the steering wheel at the turn. As a result, the car skidded into the right ditch in the direction of travel, where it overturned and crashed into trees. As a result, a minor passenger received serious bodily injuries. She died from her injuries at the scene.

It is noted that a few days before the accident, on March 14, the driver was already brought to administrative responsibility for repeated driving without a license.
