"The enforcement of the legislation on the prevention of the use of psychoactive substances and the organization of drug treatment was carried out. Problematic issues in the provision of drug treatment and the preventive work of state bodies were identified everywhere. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the treatment of psychoactive substance addicts is ineffective. "Such persons have been registered in dispensary records for many years, less than half of those registered regularly visit a narcologist. medical documents," the prosecutor general said.
"The central role in organizing the entire process belongs to the Interdepartmental Council for the Prevention of Drunkenness, Alcoholism and Drug Addiction under the government. At the same time, we have certain complaints about its work. With the proper organization of the work of this council, many problematic issues, including the interaction of government agencies, I think, will be resolved," Andrey Shved added. "The results of the audit were reviewed at a meeting of the Board of the Prosecutor General's Office with the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister, heads of interested ministries. The prosecutor's office also sent its vision of solving problematic issues to the government. We have also submitted written proposals to the head of state."
