Belarus and
RUSSIA have created a single agricultural market, all problems associated with the "closure" of Belarusian enterprises for the Russian market are a thing of the past. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Yuri Shuleiko, answering a question from a BELTA correspondent, during his visit to the Prodexpo-2025 exhibition in Moscow.
"Yes,
it has been created," said Yuri Shuleiko in response to a question about whether it is possible to talk about the creation of a single agricultural market of the Union State.
"Both sides are making adjustments, but this is all within the framework of, let's say, improving quality and safety. Now it is inappropriate to talk about "opening" or "closing" enterprises (for deliveries of their products to the Russian market. - Note by BELTA). Monitoring is being conducted, which allows both Russian and Belarusian buyers to have equal access to quality products," the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
He also noted that there is currently healthy competition between Belarusian and Russian food producers. "There was and is competition, each state pursues its own goals for the development of sensitive areas, and
food is a sensitive thing. Today we have healthy competition," Yuri Shuleiko emphasized.
At the Prodexpo-2025 exhibition, the Deputy Prime Minister, together with the Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Alexander Rogozhnik, viewed the exposition of Belarusian manufacturers Made in Belarus, organized by the unitary enterprise Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In addition, they viewed independent expositions of Belarusian enterprises in various sections of the exhibition: in total, more than 70 food manufacturers from Belarus are taking part in it this year.
