MINSK . The Ministry of Emergency Situations rescued a pensioner from a burning apartment in Vitebsk. This was reported to BELTA by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
On May 6, at 21:36, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received information about a fire in an apartment on Leningradskaya Street in Vitebsk. Rescuers who arrived at the scene found the owner of the apartment in the burning room and carried her outside. After being examined by ambulance workers, the pensioner, born in 1966, was hospitalized.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations workers quickly extinguished the fire. The mattress and bedding were damaged by the fire. The evacuation of residents was not required.
In addition, yesterday at 22:36, a resident of Gorki, walking her dog on Yakubovskogo Street, noticed
a fire in the window of a residential building and immediately reported this to the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Rescuers who arrived at the scene found the conscious owner of the house, born in 1965, in a smoke-filled room. He was taken out into the fresh air. The man was examined by medical workers and was not injured.
it is known that the rescued man is registered as an alcoholic. According to neighbors, he had been drinking the day before the fire.
