January 30, Vitebsk. During a fire in a private house in the village of Glubokoe district, emergency workers rescued a man. it is assumed that the incident occurred due to a lit cigarette, BelTA was told in the Vitebsk regional emergency department.

The fire in a private house in the village of Lovtsy, Glubokoe District, broke out in the morning of January 29. Rescuers were informed about the incident at 11.34 am, the combat crews of the department promptly went to the place. They found a crowd of neighbors and passers-by near the house, who explained that there was probably a man inside.

Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations noted that the external signs of a fire - fire or heavy smoke - were not immediately visible. During reconnaissance in the house, they found an unconscious man on the floor. Smoke was observed in the adjacent room, where the bedding was already smoldering.

The victim, born in 1986, was taken out into the fresh air and handed over to the ambulance team. With poisoning by combustion products, he was hospitalized in a local hospital.

The fire damaged property in one of the rooms, smoked the walls and ceiling.

The cause of the fire is being established. According to the preliminary version, the incident could have occurred due to careless handling of fire while smoking. As you know, the rescued non-working man abuses alcoholic beverages.
