Five people drowned in the waters of Belarus per day

Hot weather like a magnet attracts vacationers to the reservoirs. Relaxed, many ignore the rules of safety on the water, which often leads to tragedy. So, in the past 24 hours alone, five people drowned in the republic, including a 16-year-old teenager.

The department reminded that swimming is not allowed in all water bodies. "Choose specially equipped beaches for recreation, where rescue services work. Do not enter the water in a state ofalcohol intoxication . Observe water safety measures. Never leave children unattended for a second, even if they can swim. Most of the tragedies occur in "wild" reservoirs, where there are no OSVOD posts," law enforcement officers emphasized .

In places of mass recreation, police departments pay special attention to the prevention and suppression of offenses related to swimming in prohibited places, drinking alcoholic beverages and beer, as well as observing traffic rules. "Following simple rules of rest will help save nerves, money and even avoid irreparable consequences. Take care of yourself and others," the Ministry of Internal Affairs appealed to vacationers.
