A drunk moped driver in the Braslav district tried to hit a traffic police officer

April 29, Vitebsk . Traffic police officers detained a drunk moped driver in the Braslav district; he threatened and tried to hit a policeman during an examination. A BELTA correspondent was informed about this by the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

The traffic police detained a 56-year-old man who was driving a moped whileALCOHOL intoxication . During the medical examination, the offender behaved defiantly, threatened with violence and tried to hit the police officer in the HEAD. The inspector stopped the illegal actions of a drunk resident of the Braslav region.

A criminal case has been opened against the detainee for violence against a law enforcement officer.

The police remind you that employees of internal affairs bodies, when performing their duties to protect public order, are under the protection of the state. Committing such illegal actions against them entails criminal liability up to imprisonment from 3 to 7 years.
