Minsk . A drunk driver of a carsharing car has been detained in Minsk. This was reported to BELTA by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Main
Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee. "While on duty, officers of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Leninsky District Department of Internal Affairs of Minsk stopped a Belgee carsharing car moving along Igumensky Trakt, but the driver of the car ignored the officers' demand to stop and continued driving. Having turned right onto Prushinskikh Street, the car stopped. The 28-year-old man who was driving
it, during the investigation, explained to the officers that he was in a state of alcoholic intoxication," the State Traffic Inspectorate reported.
A medical examination confirmed the words of the motorist. 2.42 ppm of
alcohol was found in his system. The offender was detained and suspended from driving the vehicle. The car was handed over to a representative of the carsharing company. "For his actions, the driver was brought to administrative responsibility in the form of a fine of 200 basic units (Br8.4 thousand) with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of 5 years," the State Traffic Inspectorate stated.
The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds that driving a vehicle in a state
alcohol intoxication is a potentially dangerous and serious violation of traffic rules. "Don't make mistakes, don't drive while intoxicated, take care of your own and other people's lives," the department noted.
