Drunk lawless in Vitebsk provoked a chase and got into an accident

April 2, Minsk. In Vitebsk, a drunk without rights, hiding from the traffic police, caused an accident, BelTA informs with reference to the Telegram channel of the Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate.

The incident occurred on the night of April 2 at about 01.50. On Smolenskaya St., traffic police officers gave a stop sign to the driver of Mercedes-Benz. However, he not only failed to comply with the legal requirement of law enforcement officers, but also increased his speed, trying to escape. On Pobeda Avenue near the house number 27, the driver of a foreign car lost control, drove into the median strip and crashed into a metal fence.

It was established that the car was driven by an 18-year-old resident of the regional center, who had never had a driver's license. 0.52 ppm of alcohol was found in his blood. The young man explained to the traffic police that he had taken the car from a friend without his permission after a joint feast.
