MINSK . In Brest District, traffic police officers detained a drunk motorcyclist without a license who was trying to escape, BelTA learned from the press service of the Brest Regional Executive Committee Department of Internal Affairs.
In the urban settlement of Domachevo, officers of the traffic police battalion of the Department of Internal Affairs, using a special signal, signaled the driver of a Regulmoto motorcycle to stop. However, he did not respond to the inspectors' repeated
demands and tried to escape. A pursuit began, during which the motorcycle was stopped and the driver was detained.
He turned out to be a 31-year-old resident of Brest District. The man was in a state of
ALCOHOL intoxication - 2.5 ppm of alcohol in exhaled air. In addition,
it turned out that he had never received a driver's license.
Administrative materials were drawn up against the driver, including for failure to comply with repeated demands to stop. The motorcycle was placed in a guarded parking lot.
The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate reminded that drunk driving is punishable by a fine of up to 200 basic units with deprivation of the right to drive for up to five years. For a repeat similar violation within a year, criminal liability is provided with confiscation of the vehicle up to restriction of freedom for up to two years.
