In late October, officers from the inter-district traffic police department serving the Nesvizh and Kletsk districts were on duty ensuring traffic safety. Suddenly, a taxi overtook the traffic police car. The officers decided to investigate the reason for the rush and signaled for a stop, but the driver only accelerated. They managed to stop the car at the entrance to Kletsk. The driver was a drunk woman, and her intoxicated husband was in the passenger seat. The offenders were tested with a breathalyzer: the readings were 0.99% and 1.13% ppm absolute ethyl alcohol. It was discovered that the woman's license had been revoked in 2021 for drinking alcohol after signaling for a stop (Part 4 of Article 18.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The husband rents the car the couple was driving to work as a taxi driver. He explained that he had finished his shift as a taxi driver, had a drink at home, and decided to take a rest in the car. He was allegedly awakened only by the sound of a patrol car siren. He saw his wife driving and ordered her to stop. The traffic police have reason to believe he gave this explanation to avoid liability for handing over the car to his wife, as such a violation would also result in a fine of 50 to 100 basic units (1 BV = 37 Br) and a three-year ban on certain occupations.
