This accident claimed the life of a 15-year-old boy. His companion received injuries for which he was hospitalized.
 
The Mitsubishi driver tried to escape after the accident. “However, thanks to the coordinated actions of the BMW driver, who began to pursue him, the traffic police detained the offender. Based on the results of the examination, the accused was found to have 2.82 ppm of alcohol.

It was established that he drank alcohol immediately before the accident. In the course of events, the man got behind the wheel after a family quarrel and drove home. In relation to a 39-year-old resident of Gomel, the first deputy prosecutor of the Gomel region authorized the use of a preventive measure in the form of detention. This measure was taken taking into account the public danger of the crime, the severity of the consequences, and also based on the identity of the accused. of a person through negligence . A criminal case under Part 4 of Article 317 of the Criminal Code is being processed by the Criminal Investigation Department for the Gomel region. Also, on behalf of the prosecutor's office of the Gomel region, a social investigation has been launched against the family of the accused, which is being carried out by the responsible authorities.
