Preventive measures "Taxi" will be held in Minsk on June 6-10

June 1, Minsk. From June 6 to 10, a set of preventive measures under the conditional name "Taxi" will be held in the capital. BelTA was informed about this by Irina Boyarchuk, senior inspector for A&P of the OGAI of the Oktyabrsky District Department of Internal Affairs of Minsk.

"In order to reduce accidents on the roads and suppress gross violations of traffic rules, the Moscow State traffic inspectorate will monitor compliance with the requirements of the current legislation by drivers using telecommunications and the global computer network Internet (Bolt, Yandex.Taxi and Uber). In 2021, drivers of this category committed more than 9 thousand traffic violations, of which 26 - driving while intoxicated, 105 - driving a vehicle without the right to drive. Due to the fault of taxi drivers, 24 accidents occurred, as a result of which 25 people were injured, 1 person died," the traffic police said.

This year, the number of traffic violations committed by taxi drivers remains quite high. Only in the Oktyabrsky district of the capital over 970 traffic violations by taxi drivers were revealed over 5 months.

The main ones among the allowed violations are: exceeding the permitted speed, driving at a traffic signal forbidding, violation of the rules of maneuvering, violation of the rules for the location of vehicles on the roadway, using a mobile phone while driving a vehicle, etc.

Inspectors of the capital's traffic police will conduct raids using overt, covert and mixed control, including with representatives of other regulatory bodies.
