Prevent hooliganism, destroy drug advertising. The police action "Common Cause" in Gomel is gaining momentum

December 14, Minsk . In order to prevent crimes committed in public places, including inalcohol intoxication , this month a preventive action “Common Cause” is taking place in Gomel. On December 15, the main events of the action will take place in the Sovetsky district of the regional center, and on December 16 in the Central district, BelTA was told by the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee.

Police officers, together with volunteer squads, conduct awareness-raising work as part of the “Common Cause” preventive campaign. December 15 and 16 in the Soviet and Central districts of GomelLaw enforcement officers will pay special attention to preventing hooliganism and robberies in public places, will stop crimes in courtyard areas, inspect the areas for signs advertising drug stores, and will also take measures to eliminate them.

As Anatoly Vasilyev, the first deputy head of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee and the head of the public security police, said earlier, the preventive action “Common Cause” will be held in Gomel throughout December. In addition to working with the population, police officers will inform retail and public catering establishments about the need to promptly inform authorities about visitors who are intoxicated and demonstrating an intention to commit an offense.

As part of the action, meetings are also planned at enterprises, educational institutions, health care and trade, and conversations with representatives of housing and communal services organizations on the prevention of crimes committed in public places and the legal responsibility of citizens for them.
