Law enforcement officers detained a Minsk resident who was paying for goods with someone else’s card

September 15, Minsk . A Minsk resident contacted the Central District Department of Internal Affairs. The victim lost his bank card, from which more than Br120 was subsequently debited. BELTA was informed about this by the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

Operatives of the cybercrime department established that the victim’s card was used by a 44-year-old Minsk resident: the man purchasedalcohol and food . He paid with someone else’s card eight times at various retail outlets in Minsk.

The detainee explained to the police that he drank alcohol together with the victim and stole his bank card, which he left in his personal belongings. The detainee was previously prosecuted.

Investigators opened a criminal case for theft of property by modifying computer information.

The police remind you that if you find someone else's card, you need to take it to the bank.
