Officers from the Minsk Region Department of Economic Security and Combating Corruption, together with the State Traffic Inspectorate, stopped a Mercedes-Benz driven by a 65-year-old Mozyr resident near the village of Privolny, Minsk District. The man was transporting 300 liters of moonshine and 18 liters of alcoholic beverages. The shipments lacked Belarusian excise stamps, and the Mozyr resident was unable to provide accompanying documents. He only explained that he had allegedly purchased the ALCOHOL for personal use.
The products , valued at approximately Br3,500, were seized. The offender faces a large fine and confiscation of the goods.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminded that the import, movement, and storage of alcoholic beverages not duly marked with Belarusian excise stamps , without accompanying documents, or the sale of such beverages is prohibited.
