Valentin Tolkachev Topic news January 4, MINSK . Very soon Valentin Tolkachev will turn 84 years old. He assures that during his long life he has never been particularly ill. Sports injuries do not count; not a single professional in this field can do without them, and Valentin Andreevich is a master of sports in tourism. “Of course, it happened that I caught the virus, but two days are enough to overcome it. Without pills - only with herbs and rest,” the pensioner clarifies. When Valentin Tolkachev, the famous Belarusian walrus, is asked about the secret of his strong HEALTH, he briefly explains: if you want not to get sick, jump into the ice hole! "What does cold water do? Body temperature rises to 40 degrees due to stress, diseased cells die. You become healthier, gain energy - you want to live!" - our hero assures. He always starts his morning with auto-training, bed exercises, dousing and physical exercise. Every year he takes the triathlon test he invented to check his physical condition: walking - 60 km, cycling - 100 km, running - 5 km. He assures that the results of this test have remained at the same level for many years. According to Valentin Andreevich, his biological age differs from his passport age by 15-20 years, downward, of course. “Dousing with cold water, dipping in an ice hole, and physical exercises allow you to keep yourself in good shape. But the most powerful way to maintain health is walking , including Scandinavian walking, with sticks in your hands,” says Valentin Tolkachev. He has not drunk ALCOHOL for about 45 years . And for almost 35 years she has been helping those who abuse it to give up alcohol. The fact is that Valentin Andreevich is the chairman of the Belarusian public association “Sobriety - Optimalist”. Before founding it, I studied world experience in the fight against alcohol addiction, and became acquainted with the works of DOCTOR of Biological Sciences Gennady Shichko, our fellow countryman from the Pukhovichi region. Now Valentin Tolkachev knows for sure that we will defeat the “green serpent”. “To change your lifestyle, you need to set a goal,” our hero emphasizes. “You need to consider any of your actions like this: does it lead me to the goal or not. If so, don’t hesitate.” Valentin Tolkachev is another hero of our project “Belarusians in the Picture”. We went with him for a winter swim to find out how to plunge correctly, what exercises should be done after water procedures, and why Valentin Andreevich considers himself a super happy person. Every week in the newspaper "7 days" and on the BELTA website we look at the world through the eyes of ordinary Belarusians who sincerely love their business, family and country. All our heroes are unique, but they are united by one thing - loyalty to themselves and the land where they live. The project was created using targeted funds for the production of national content.
