After the intervention of the prosecutor's office, a nurse from Mogilev was paid an additional Br2.4 thousand for sick leave

At the protest of the Mogilev prosecutor, the amount of temporary disability benefits for a nurse in one of the city’s clinics was recalculated - Br2.4 thousand was additionally accrued and paid to her. BELTA was informed about this by the information service of the prosecutor’s office of the Mogilev region.

During an on-site reception of citizens, a Mogilev resident contacted representatives of the city prosecutor’s office who did not agree with the accrual of temporary disability benefits to her as an injury caused by ALCOHOL intoxication. The girl explained that she had been on sick leave since July last year. She received a serious injury in the form of fractures of the bones of her right hip while celebrating a friend’s birthday. prosecutor's office identified violations in the HEALTH care institution that were committed by the commission for the assignment of temporary disability benefits when deciding to assign such benefits to the applicant.

The cause of the girl’s injury was a third party falling on her, which is confirmed by the information reflected in the decision to refuse to initiate a criminal case under the article “On causing grievous bodily harm through negligence.”

The arguments given by the Mogilev resident are well-reasoned, and the amount of the benefit is unreasonably determined as for an injury caused by alcohol consumption.

Since the nurse was injured outside of working hours and due to the fault of other citizens, the Mogilev prosecutor protested the illegal decision of the said commission, in which he demanded to cancel it and recalculate the amount of temporary disability benefits.

The supervision act was executed in full - the applicant was additionally accrued and paid Br2.4 thousand; in the future, temporary disability benefits will be assigned and paid in the amount of 100% of the average daily earnings.
