Chase ends in shooting. Drunk driver tries to escape from traffic police in Mozyr

In Mozyr, the traffic police officers signaled the driver of a Ford to stop. The latter ignored the signal and accelerated. A pursuit began.

The driver drove the car aggressively, creating a real threat to road users. Having left the district center, the inspectors decided to use their service weapons to stop the vehicle. After repeated warnings, the police officer fired a shot into the air, and then aimed at the wheels, the car stopped.

A local resident with obvious signs ofalcohol intoxication . A medical examination showed 1.9 ppm of alcohol.

Nine administrative materials were drawn up against the offender. The man was brought to justice in the form of administrative arrest, a fine of 200 basic units (Br8 thousand) with deprivation of the right to drive all types of transport for a period of 5 years.

The car was confiscated and placed in a guarded parking lot.
