A passenger in a car died in a road accident in the Pinsk region.

A passenger in a car died in a traffic accident in the Pinsk district, BelTA reports, citing the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Brest Regional Executive Committee.

Today, at approximately 4:00 a.m., a 27-year-old resident of Pinsk, presumably in a state ofWhile intoxicated and without a driver's license, he was driving a BMW on the 54th kilometer of the P8 Luninets-Pinsk highway, heading from Pinsk to the village of Pinkovichi. 

According to preliminary information, the driver lost control of the vehicle on a left-hand bend in the road, striking a curb and a fence, and then veered into a right-hand roadside ditch, where he collided with a concrete fence.

As a result of the incident, the 31-year-old male passenger in the front seat died at the scene; the driver was uninjured. A criminal case has been opened under Part 4 of Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus
