Lack of inspection and instructions. FPB on characteristic violations in agricultural organizations

March 14, MINSK. Lack of technical inspection, briefings and control over the HEALTH of workers. On the eve of the sowing campaign, the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus named the most typical violations that are detected in agricultural organizations, and reported that trade unions are starting to intensify monitoring of compliance with labor protection legislation. This was reported to BelTA by the press service of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus.

"Traditionally, on the eve of mass spring field work, trade unions strengthen control over these issues in agricultural organizations. At the same time, attention is paid to all positions - from the condition of machinery and equipment to equipping sanitary facilities for workers," the national trade union center noted. - This is the work of trade unions not only helps organize a more efficient production process, but also prevents accidents at work.For example, last spring alone, trade unions identified more than 200 pieces of faulty equipment, the operation of which could lead to injury to workers.Naturally, their work was suspended until the violations were corrected ".

These are very different situations. Quite often, cases were identified when agricultural vehicles were not equipped with primary fire extinguishing equipment and first aid kits or did not pass technical inspection. And this is an additional risk for the employee if an emergency occurs. There are also questions about organizing and conducting a pre-shift examination of employees for being in a state of intoxication, the passage of preliminary and mandatory periodic medical examinations by employees. Somewhere they neglect to conduct the necessary training and briefings. There are questions about the condition of the equipment involved in the repair of equipment. Separate facts were also recorded when people worked in the field on the introduction of pesticides without personal protective equipment. All this can lead to tragedy. Therefore, for each identified violation, the trade unions issue an order or recommendation to the employer and monitor the progress of eliminating all deficiencies.

Trade unions pay special attention to the creation of comfortable living conditions for workers. Assistance is provided in the purchase of personal protective equipment, special footwear and clothing, equipment for rest and dining rooms, equipment for showers, and so on.
