May 27, MINSK. In Zhodzina, a drunk driver knocked down a seven-year-old boy, BelTA reports with reference to the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee.

“On May 26, at about 6.15 pm, on Kalinovsky Street near house No. 24, a resident of Borisov, 50 years old, was driving a Nissan Qashqai in the direction of Lesnaya Street. There he hit a seven-year-old boy who ran out from behind a parked car outside the pedestrian crossing. Child was hospitalized with serious HEAD injuries. it was established that the driver of the Nissan was in a state of intoxication (1.2 ppm of ALCOHOL in exhaled air). An investigation is underway into the accident," the UGAI ATC said.

The State traffic inspectorate reminds that since May 25, a special complex event "Attention - children" has been held. Drivers need to be extremely careful while driving. It is important to remember that a child can suddenly run out onto the road, whose actions are unpredictable. Drunk driving is not allowed. The dipped headlights or daytime running lights must be on.
