A drunk resident of Bobruisk beat up three fast food workers, BelTA learned from the information service of the Mogilev Region Prosecutor's Office.
The incident occurred late in the evening of 21 May this year. The female cooks were finishing their shift and cleaning up their workplace. Suddenly,
a drunk 57-year-old man burst in and started insulting them. Attempts to calm the Bobruisk resident made him even more aggressive: he started hitting the girls on different parts of their bodies. As a result, they received bodily injuries.
At the
COURT hearing, the man fully admitted his guilt. Citing severe
ALCOHOL intoxication, he claimed that he did not remember the details of the incident. He was charged with especially malicious hooliganism.
The court of Bobruisk District and Bobruisk sentenced the accused to six years in a strict regime penal colony on the basis of Part 3 of Article 339 of the Criminal Code. In accordance with Part 9 of the Law of the Republic of
Belarus dated July 2,
2024 "On Amnesty in Connection with the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Belarus from the Nazi Invaders", he was released from the assigned punishment partially - for one year.
The sentence has not entered into legal force,
it can be appealed and protested in the appellate procedure.
