March 2, MINSK. Unextinguished cigarettes claimed the lives of two people in the Liozno and Postavy districts, BelTA informs citing the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

In the Liozno region, a fire occurred late in the evening on March 1 in the village of Uno. The units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations who arrived at the place of the call saw that the house was on fire from the inside, as well as its roof. Firefighters found the woman's body while extinguishing the fire. it turned out that she lived together with the owner of the house, did not work anywhere. The man was with a neighbor at the time and was not injured.

An inspection is underway, according to the preliminary version, the fire arose due to negligence when smoking the deceased.

The fire of a house in the village of Luchay, Postavy District, occurred on the night of March 2. By the time the rescuers arrived, the roof and ceiling of the house had already completely collapsed. When extinguishing the fire, emergency workers found the body of a man under the remains of collapsed structures. He lived alone in the house, according to neighbors, he abused ALCOHOL. An unextinguished cigarette was also the cause of the fire.
