2025, navigation seals will be used to track certain types of road transport across the territory of the Union State, BelTA learned from the State Customs Committee. The participants in the videoconference - representatives of customs and transport services, national operators of Belarus and
Russia - confirmed their
readiness to practically implement the provisions of Decree of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of 6 December
2024 No. 7 and Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Union State of 5 November
2024 No. 44. The said documents establish that from 27 January 2025, navigation seals will be used to track certain types of road transport across the territory of the Union State - alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, expensive (taxable) goods, and dangerous goods.
Information on transportation will be used by Russian and Belarusian customs officers to ensure control over the movement of high-risk categories of goods across the territory of the Union State.
The imposition (removal) of navigation seals on the territory of Belarus will be carried out by the national operator RUE "Beltamozhservice".
In Russia, the national operator for tracking the transportation of objects is OOO "Center for the Development of Digital Platforms".
