Almost 40 unlicensed drivers detained on roads in Vitebsk region over the weekend

June 23, MINSK . Thirty-nine unlicensed drivers were detained in the Vitebsk Region over the weekend. This was reported to BELTA by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

Over the past weekend, 37 accidents with material damage were registered on the roads of the Vitebsk Region, including seven in the regional center.Law enforcement officers detained 13 drunk drivers and 39 unlicensed drivers. 569 drivers violated speed limits, 36 - overtaking rules.

In addition, 227 pedestrians were brought to administrative responsibility for violating traffic rules. Of these, 22 were in a state ofALCOHOL intoxication , 39 - without reflective elements.
