June 29, MINSK. The Ministry of Internal Affairs asks to come to the festive events on the occasion of the Independence Day of Belarus in advance, Deputy HEAD of the Main Department - Head of the Law Enforcement Department of the Main Department of Law Enforcement and Prevention of the Public Security Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Sergei Mironchik told reporters, BelTA has learned.
"For a comfortable stay, taking into account the current weather conditions, we ask you to arrive at the venues of the festive events both by public and private transport in advance," Sergei Mironchik said.
He recalled that people in a state of intoxication will traditionally not be allowed to places of mass events . it is recommended to come with small hand luggage. Checkpoints will be equipped with lockers where you can check in your hand luggage.
In certain areas adjacent to the places of mass events, traffic will be restricted. This does not apply to transport that serves events. Information about such sites will be reported in the media and online resources.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs asks to treat security measures with understanding. And if ownerless items and suspicious citizens are found, he asks to immediately report this to the employees who will serve in the field.
Now the Ministry of Internal Affairs is carrying out preparatory work, a certain set of preventive measures aimed at ensuring the personal and property security of citizens. Traditionally, all sites where festive events will be held will be taken under control, and places where a large number of citizens are expected will be preliminarily inspected by sappers. Also, the necessary number of checkpoints will be equipped in these places to protect citizens.
Given the likely increase in passenger traffic, railway and air transport facilities will be taken under control, where public security will also be strengthened.
"Compliance with law and order is a guarantee of personal and public safety. Police officers will stop any illegal actions. In general, the internal affairs bodies are ready to fulfill their tasks during the celebration of Independence Day. The personnel are focused on high-quality service, as well as providing comprehensive assistance to citizens in any conditions," Sergei Mironchik stressed.
He also drew the attention of parents to the proper control of young children. With a large crowd of people, a child, having moved only 2-3 m away from his parents, can get lost in the crowd, which will make it difficult to find him.
