Rescuers received a message about a drowning man on July 17 at 16.32.
Emergency Situations Ministry workers went to the scene of the incident - Lake Martsebylinskoye in the agricultural town of Martsebylino. Rescuers did not find a body on the surface of the water. Later, OSVOD workers found
the man’s body 50 m from the shore.
it turned out that the man was relaxing with friends on the shore that day; they were drinking
ALCOHOL. At some point, he decided to swim, swam about 40 m and disappeared from the surface of the water. Comrades rushed to help, but could not save their friend.
Also, the office of the Investigative Committee for the Vitebsk Region reported that an investigative and operational group was working on the spot. It turned out that the pond in which the 45-year-old man drowned was not intended for swimming.
Glubokoye ROSC is conducting an inspection. Investigators will pay special attention to the causes and conditions that contributed to the death of a local resident.
