Minsk resident detained for insulting OMON officer

October 28, Brest. A resident of MINSK was detained for insulting an OMON officer, BelTA informs with reference to the TELEGRAM channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The Department for the Brest Region of the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs identified a 31-year-old Minsk resident who, in April of this year, posted insulting messages on a social network against an officer of the Special Police Department of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Brest Regional Executive Committee.

Investigators gave a legal assessment of the actions of the man and opened a criminal case for insulting a representative of the authorities.

The figurant had previously been repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility for appearing in a public place in a drunken state, petty hooliganism, driving a vehicle while intoxicated without the right to drive, and also for evading the appearance at the military registration and enlistment office.
