During interrogation by the investigator, the 33-year-old defendant claimed that he was tired of the constant night sounds from the neighbor’s apartment, which prevented him from sleeping. The man noted that he accidentally hit a neighbor's guest with a hammer, who "sharply entered the hallway." "Experts diagnosed the defendant with a mental disorder and ALCOHOL dependence syndrome. Despite the disease, he could understand the nature of his actions and manage them," the official said.
