In connection with the beginning of the swimming season, the influx of vacationers near the reservoirs has sharply increased, and the number of accidents has accordingly increased. The vast majority of them are associated with a violation of the rules of safe behavior on the water.
The main causes of death in water bodies are still:
bathing while intoxicated ;
leaving young children unattended;
swimming in prohibited places;
non-compliance with personal security measures.
Bathing while intoxicatedThe main reasons for an unsuccessful, and sometimes sad, rest include the carelessness of citizens, violation of the rules of behavior on the water. In most cases, emergencies occur while drinking ALCOHOL, when swimming while intoxicated, swimming in prohibited places where there are no rescue stations. Drinking alcohol and relaxing by the water are often the cause of death. Last year, the opening of the swimming season was not successful for everyone:
Important! A drunk person is not able to adequately assess the situation and can do things that he would never have done in a sober state.
Forbidden! Swimming in water bodies while intoxicated. Alcohol further dilates the blood vessels, and after immersion in cold water, a sharp spasm occurs. In open water conditions, this can cost lives.
BoatingMany citizens have various watercraft (boats, jet skis, boats, etc.) for personal use, the rest use rented ones. In any case, lovers of water walks must remember that riding on any watercraft requires strict adherence to safety rules during their operation, the violation of which can lead to irreparable consequences:
Important! All boaters must wear life jackets.
it is forbidden:
exceed the established number of people on board;
drive boats while intoxicated;
the manager of the watercraft to go beyond the water areas designated by buoys, allotted for swimming;
jump into the water from a boat;
sit on the sides, move from place to place and transfer to other boats, boats;
go out on the water on watercraft that are completely unsuitable for this;
swim close to watercraft, whirlpools, waves and currents arise near them: a swimmer can be pulled under them.
Attempts to swim across the pondCaution on the water is, above all, a necessity. People (even those who know how to swim well) swim to the depths, but can no longer return to the shore. Some arrange competitions to overcome obstacles. But not everyone can calculate the forces.
Forbidden! Swim beyond the restrictive signs and move away from the shore while swimming for considerable distances, as well as without urgent need (saving people) to swim across the reservoir.
Swimming and diving in unfamiliar, unequipped placesMany vacationers like to dive into the water from a height. It is deadly for life to jump into the water in unknown places. Here you can hit your HEAD on the ground, break your neck vertebrae, lose consciousness and die. It is also dangerous to dive into the water from bridges, rafts, piers, dams and other structures. There may be piles, stones, etc. under water.
Important! Swim only on equipped beaches in an area fenced with buoys or floats.
Forbidden! Jump or dive in unfamiliar places: from bridges, berths, marinas, etc.
Inflatable mattresses, cameras, etc.Very often, when relaxing on the water, people use various inflatable objects. Swimming on them is dangerous, and for a person who cannot swim, often ends tragically. Inflatable chambers, mattresses are very light, even a weak wind and current are enough to carry them over long distances. It is worth being distracted for a few minutes - and the shore is out of reach. The mattress can be overwhelmed by the wave, it can slip out from under the swimmer and cover him with his head. In addition, any inflatable object may have a hidden defect, which is not always possible to detect in a timely manner: air can escape from it and it will lose buoyancy at any time.
Important! Any improvised inflatable means can slip out of the hands, be blown away for any reason, and the person will end up in the water.
Forbidden! Use air mattresses, circles, cameras and other inflatable objects for swimming, because. they are not watercraft.
Teenagers unsupervised by the waterI would like to place special emphasis on the safety of adolescents near water bodies. They sometimes behave too carelessly, self-confidently, run and indulge in the water, not feeling any danger. Parents should understand that no matter how old the child is, whether he is a preschooler or a student, he should not be near the water without adult supervision. And it is the parents who are obliged to talk to the children about everything that can happen, warn about the danger and explain the consequences.
Important! Rules for parents:
do not let the child go to the beach alone;
do not lose sight of him when he swims (do not rely on the fact that the child is already big and swims well);
choose an equipped beach, because lifeguards are on duty there.
Death of children in the waterOnce again, we focus on the fact that the most important thing that parents should remember is that children should not be near the water without supervision. This is a rule that all adults must strictly follow. Unfortunately, young children often drown on the water, left unattended by adults.
The danger, especially for a small child, is not only large reservoirs, but also decorative ponds, and even containers with water. Only parents who are aware of the possible dangers and take them seriously, no matter how rare and incredible they may seem, will be able to keep their child out of trouble. Being with children near the water vigilance should not be lost even for a minute.
Important! Watch out for children playing by the pools. It is best if the child plays on the water with adults - this is the only way to be completely sure of his safety. If you are not participating in games, make sure that the child is within your sight.
Dear parents! Summer is a wonderful time for relaxation, positive emotions, vivid impressions. But this is also the most traumatic period for children. Therefore, do everything to keep your child out of trouble. Try to secure your holiday as much as possible, be close to your children and take care of them.
