On June 4 at 16:13, rescuers received information that a private residential house was on fire in the urban settlement of Mir on Druzhnaya Street. Four fire crews immediately went to the specified address. Upon arrival at the scene, the Ministry of Emergency Situations workers established that the source of the fire was in one of the rooms. During reconnaissance and extinguishing of the fire in the burning room, rescuers found the body of the 44-year-old son of the owner, and in the neighboring room - the 66-year-old owner of the house.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations workers extinguished the fire . The fire destroyed property in the living room, the walls and ceiling of the house were blackened with smoke.
"Most likely, the cause of the fire emergency was careless handling of fire while smoking," the Ministry of Emergency Situations noted.
The rescue agency added that since the beginning of this year, careless handling of fire while smoking has led to 78 fires, in which 19 people died. As statistics show, most of them were in a state ofALCOHOL intoxication .
