March 31, MINSK. President of Belarus ALEXANDER LUKASHENKO drew attention to the situation in some large families, instructing them to ensure the interests of children. He stated this in his Address to the Belarusian people and parliament, BelTA has learned.

The HEAD of state stated that among large families there are those where parents lead an asocial lifestyle and abuse ALCOHOL. Therefore, on the ground it is necessary to fundamentally understand the situation and, first of all, protect the interests of children, so that money and state support are spent on them.

"The government, the governors need to solve this problem. I put this question before you. If you see that the family is drinking away these funds and the money does not reach the children, make a decision on the spot and provide for the children," the head of state stressed.

The President demanded that children, to whom the state pays a lot of money, receive these benefits. “So that these crazy parents don’t get this money in their hands if they don’t deserve it,” Alexander Lukashenko said. “And the society is indignant about who we pay?”

The Belarusian leader noted that this topic cannot be bypassed, and appealed to local leaders, urging them to look into such situations, and not wait for checks.
