Today, May 11, at about 03.00, a 63-year-old resident of the agricultural town of Trilesino woke up from a pungent smell of smoke that filled her apartment. The fire was in the bedroom where her 67-year-old husband slept. In the room on the floor, the woman found her husband, pulled him out into the corridor and turned to the neighbors for help. Together, with the help of improvised means, they eliminated the fire. The ambulance brigade that arrived at the scene of the incident pronounced the man dead .

Bedding was damaged in the room as a result of the fire. The help of employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was not needed. The alleged cause of the incident is careless handling of fire when smoking. On this fact, the check is being carried out by the Dribinsky inter-district department of the Investigative Committee.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, during the four months of this year, 284 fires occurred in the region, in which 33 people died. Careless smoking remains one of the main causes of fires and deaths - 91% of the total number of deaths.
