Criminal Family Duo from Svetlogorsk Robbed a Pensioner Twice

November 3, MINSK . A criminal family duo from Svetlogorsk robbed the same pensioner twice . This was reported to BELTA by the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Internal Affairs Directorate.

At the end of September, the Svetlogorsk District Department of Internal Affairs received a report of a theft in the working settlement of Sosnovy Bor. Two TV sets, gold items and a monitor were stolen from a pensioner's private home. The victims estimated the damage at Br8.5 thousand. Criminal investigation officers established that a 34-year-old local resident had entered the house through a window. His 46-year-old wife, who, by the way, was caring for the pensioner, helped him in this.

The thief , previously convicted of theft, was arrested. After the arrest, it turned out that the criminal family duo had also visited the pensioner's apartment in Svetlogorsk. Their spoils were a TV, bed linen and gold earrings. Detectives found the stolen items: the TVs - from the citizens who bought them, and the gold items - in a local pawn shop.

Investigators opened a criminal case against the criminal couple on the facts of thefts committed by a group of people with entry into the home. The man had previously been repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility for violating anti-alcohol legislation, and his wife - for knowingly making a false report.
