Panic room, Russian roulette: more than 200 participants in Gorodok will bring together an action to combat smoking

The anti-smoking campaign, which will be held today in Gorodok, will bring together more than 200 high school students from local schools and students of the Agricultural and Technical College. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent in the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The site for the amusement park from the Ministry of Emergency Situations under the name "Don't burn your life" will be the House of Culture of Gorodok. Before the start of the main show on stage, young people will be invited to the interactive sites Quit Smoking and Quit Smoking, offering to give up their bad habit. The brave and determined will get the opportunity to drive a nail into their own pack of tobacco products, take sweets in exchange and consider whether it is worth continuing to support the tobacco industry at the cost of their HEALTH.

Thematic photo zones with the help of augmented reality technologies will show what dangers can lie in wait in an apartment or house and what an unextinguished cigarette can lead to. In the "Panic Room" will show photos of fires with the death of people that occurred due to careless handling of fire when smoking. Students and high school students will virtually become eyewitnesses of emergencies and play roulette.

Interactive in the youth style "Show without cigarettes" will await the participants in the assembly hall of the House of Culture. In a humorous way, those who wish will check their lung capacity using inflatable balloons, guess the compositions on the topic of smoking, and take part in arm wrestling with a cigarette. Representatives of the department will offer young people to try on the uniform of a rescuer and feel what it is like for an EMERCOM worker in heavy uniforms to save people on a fire.

As noted in the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, every fourth fire in the Vitebsk region occurs due to careless handling of fire when smoking. "Since the beginning of the year, 798 fires have been recorded in the region, 89 people have become victims. About 60 of them died due to an unextinguished cigarette while intoxicated . The republican action of the Ministry of Emergency Situations "Do not burn your life" is called upon to draw attention to this problem, the emphasis of which made on preventive work in the student environment," the department explained.

The baton of the large-scale preventive action Gorodok will pass on to Dubrovno and Orsha.
