Due to cases of sale of falsified cottage cheese and butter by weight, it is proposed to ban their sale in the markets

August 3, MINSK. A draft government decree "On changing the resolutions of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus on the sale of goods" has been submitted for public discussion.

The draft resolution proposes to amend the rules for the sale of certain types of goods and the provision of public catering, approved by the Council of Ministers of July 22, 2014 No. including under commission agreements), alcoholic beverages, sale of state symbols of the Republic of Belarus, creation of conditions for buyers when selling goods in auto shops and a number of others.

In particular, the rules are supplemented with a clause according to which the display of alcoholic beverages is not allowed at the place of settlements with customers, as well as on commercial equipment immediately adjacent to it. This condition does not apply to specialty and (or) company stores selling alcoholic beverages, duty-free shops, shops and pavilions with a selling area of ​​400 square meters. m or less, shops and pavilions located in the countryside, as well as auto shops and catering facilities. In addition, the document will be supplemented by a rule on the creation by the owners of car dealerships of conditions for the packaging of purchased goods by buyers, including through their packaging by sellers. Also, taking into account the occurrence of cases of sale of counterfeit goods under the guise of weighted cottage cheese and butter, the document proposes to introduce a ban on the sale of such goods in the markets, supplementing the list of goods prohibited for sale, approved by Resolution of the Council of Ministers dated July 14, 2014 No. 686. The ban will not apply to the sale of their own products by manufacturers, peasant farms and individuals.
