Inflation in the consumer market of Ukraine in 2021 amounted to 10%

January 10, MINSK. Inflation in the consumer market of Ukraine at the end of 2021 amounted to 10%. This was announced today by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, TASS informs.

Inflation in the consumer market in December 2021 compared to November 2021 amounted to 0.6%, for the year as a whole - 10%.

Core inflation in December 2021 compared to November 2021 was 0.4%, for the year as a whole - 7.9%.

it is noted that in December, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 1.2%. Most of all (by 10% and 9.1%) eggs and vegetables have risen in price.

In 2020, inflation in Ukraine amounted to 5%, in 2019 - 4.1%. The NATIONAL BANK of Ukraine expects inflation to return to 5% by the end of 2022. The National Bank in 2021, trying to return inflation to the target level, from July 23, 2021 raised the discount rate from 7.5% to 8% per annum, from September 10 to 8.5%, from December 10 to 9%.
