
July 18, MINSK. The traffic police in the Minsk region revealed 140 lawless people over the weekend. This figure was reported to BELTA by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee.
According to the department, two accidents were registered last weekend, in which two people were injured. One of them happened on July 16 at about 2:00 am on Tsentralnaya Street in the village of Yanushkovichi, Logoisk District. A 22-year-old resident of Berezino, driving a Chevrolet Cobalt, lost control of the road at a roundabout, drove into a ditch and crashed into a tree, after which she drove into a fence. As a result of the accident, the woman was hospitalized with injuries. According to preliminary information, she was in a state of intoxication (1.12 ppm of ALCOHOL).The State Traffic Inspectorate of Internal Affairs noted that 63 accidents without victims were registered in the Minsk region in two days. 29 drunk drivers were detained. In addition, traffic police officers established 140 facts of driving vehicles without rights. Another 152 pedestrians were brought to administrative responsibility, 48 of them were intoxicated , 29 were not marked with retroreflective elements.
